DEPARTMENT OF INFECTION CONTROL
- History of development:
- 1978: was founded under the name of Sterile Service Department.
- 1986: changed name to Anti Infection Department.
- From 2009 to now: changed name to Department of Infection control - Human Resource structure:
- 01 doctor as the head of department

- Establishing annual infection control plan of to submit to the Council for Infection Control of the hospital.
- Checking the implementation of infection control procedures in the hospital
- Evaluating and reporting cases of microbial agent exposure of hospital’ personnel. - Monitoring the appropriate use of antibiotics.
- Coordinating with the laboratory in microbial monitoring of hospital’s environment, water and instruments.
- Training on infection control - Updating knowledge on infection control for healthcare workers
- Providing sterile gauze according to the needs of the department
- Sterilizing surgical instruments and other instruments according to the needs of the department
- Achievements:
- Accomplishing all missions.
- Sterilizing and Reusing of cautery and electrodes to reduce patient charge.
- Replacing metal boxes to plastic bag containing instruments used in patient’s dressing
- Providing microsurgical and endoscopic instruments sterilized under low-temperature - Honors
